The Local Government International Bureau (LGIB) works with the
Local Government Association (LGA) to promote local government
interests in European legislation, funding and policy and in
international developments. Acting as the ‘voice of local UK government
in Brussels’, LGIB supports elected councillors, helps to develop
international links, promotes local democracy and keeps local
government informed of European and international developments.
A content managed website allows LGIB to publish daily news stories,
case studies and features helping to generate repeat visitors.
“European Information Service” is a monthly magazine which also appears
in an online version using the CMS. This is a comprehensive online
resource covering European current affairs with an archive stretching
back almost 10 years.
In conjunction with this, Navyblue has helped LGIB with the design and production of email bulletins. A weekly email broadcast called "EUpdate’ keeps their subscribers up to date with the current European news whilst ‘EIS Alerts’ notify them of any important projects published to the website. In addition, a weekly news digest is sent to all subscribers. The content management system allows this to be managed in an intuitive way.
